Partho Ghosh directed the 1997 Indian Hindi-language film Jeevan Yudh, which was produced by Piyush Chakravorthy and starred Mithun Chakraborty, Raakhee, Jayaprada, Atul Agnihotri, Mamta Kulkarni, Shakti Kapoor, Rami Reddy, and Alok Nath. Movie Plot

Vasudev Rai, his wife, and their son, Rohit, reside in a tiny town. Vasudev is a teacher at a school owned and maintained by the compassionate and courteous Gajraj Choudhry. Then, one day, a truck driver called Deva Prakash transports Vasudev’s body to a local hospital and demands that the doctor heal him. The doctor finds Vasudev is deceased, notifies the police, and instructs Deva to wait till their arrival before giving his statement. Deva vanishes, rendering him accountable for Vasudev’s death. Vasudev’s wife and son are distraught, and Rohit vows to revenge his father’s death before fleeing town.

His inquiry leads him to the conclusion that the killer is somewhere near his hometown, and he returns to find that his town now has a new Police Superintendent, Inspector Ajay Kumar. Rohit feels Ajay is not who he claims to be and begins investigating, eventually unmasking Ajay, who is none other than Deva. Accused of murdering Vasudev, Deva begs his innocence, but no one believes him anymore. Desperate, he kidnaps Choudhry’s stunningly beautiful daughter, Kajal, and flees, pursued by Rohit, Gajraj Choudhry and his men, and the real Ajay Kumar. Is Deva truly blameless? If that’s the case, who murdered Vasudev?
