Swami Dada is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Dev Anand that stars Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Christine O’Neil, Padmini Kohlapure, and Dev Anand. Jackie Shroff made her first credited movie appearance in this picture. R.D.Burman composed the music for this picture. A few songs become well-known.
Plot
Swami Dada is the narrative of Hari Mohan (Dev Anand), a holy man who conducts Hindu prayers and lectures in a kind and accepting environment. Everyone refers to him as “Swami Dada.” He has a significant number of followers and devotees who flock to hear his talks. What they don’t realise is that Hari Mohan is a skilled thief who is now plotting to steal the temple’s jewellery with the help of a young woman and a bunch of orphaned youngsters. Kulbhushan Kharbanda is in charge of the tapori gang, which includes Dev Anand. He flees to a Western nation, only to return to find that the members of the gang are still living in the same conditions. He, himself, has evolved into a spiritual being. Swami is his name. Dev disguises himself as Ringo Dada in order to shatter the gang. As a result, Seami Dada was born.
