T. L. V. Prasad directed Chandaal, a 1998 Hindi-language Indian action drama film starring Mithun Chakraborty, Sneha, Avtar Gill, Puneet Issar, and Hemant Birje. The main part was offered to Sunny Deol, but he rejected owing to prior commitments. Instead, Mithun Chakraborty seized the lead. Plot
Indrajeet is a trustworthy police officer who lives peacefully with his family. His sister has a crush on a young man, and it is later discovered that he is the brother of local don Durjan Rai Sahab Singh. When Indrajeet and his gangs capture Durjan Singh, he exacts vengeance by murdering all of Indrajeet’s family members and fabricating a phoney murder case against him. He was sentenced to jail for the murders of his parents and sister. He laboured in a flaming ghat after being released from prison. During these sessions, he met a young fearless lady journalist who was being pursued by a group of dons. Indrajeet rescued her and fell in love with the journalist as a result. He began killing Durjan Singh’s gang with her assistance in order to get revenge. Khurana, Indrajeet’s junior police officer, was truthful but couldn’t discover any proof against him.
